Out With The Old
A tree in its original state has a pretty infinite life, if not harmed.
The life of a Christmas tree grows into its impending doom.
Slaughtered from its forest, dragged through a net, driven on the roof of cars, its corpse decorated and displayed like something from Weekend at Bernies.
Then after this humiliating process, we don't even put the effort into mulching, replanting, or letting it live in our homes until its pines begin to dry.
New years typically mean 'get out of my house' for a tree.
All of this happens because of a continuing need to show 'Christmas Spirt'
Christmas seems to be the time of year where people forget about their vow to 'go green'
